15. Movement - front flash circuit
Part of the “motion blur” technique was described in the 8th edition as instruction on rear flash circuit, using the trouts in Grübl See as motif. Like previously said, when shooting with long shutter speed, there are two main techniques to use according to the flash circuit setting. While the rear circuit synchronises the flash output at the end of the exposure period, the front circuit triggers it at the beginning of it. What does that mean for us? It critically determines the way we frame our subject and create the movement effect.
