35. Grouper portrait
Groupers are large creatures with a funny face and cute eyes. They are a sign of a healthy reef ecosystem more than any other species of fish in the sea. Thanks to their beautiful coloring and interesting facial expressions, groupers can also be very productive subjects for uw-photography. Once upon a time, particular species of grouper were abundant in all corners of our oceans. Today, places with thriving grouper populations are extremely rare to find. If you get an opportunity to interact with a friendly grouper, make the most of it!
